Rogers 0.10mm Shock Pad foam Description

Rogers PORON 0.10mm thick ShockPad foam is a reliable impact buffer that can be used at the rear of the cashless display and next to other internal components of mobile devices. ShockPad foam material not only absorbs huge impact but also has excellent resistance to compression deformation. In addition, it is easy to process and always performs reliably throughout the life cycle of the end product. It can withstand temperatures as high as 150℃ and as low as minus 40℃.

PORON ShockPad foam provides protection and design flexibility for thin handheld devices and backline displays, including smartphones, tablets, and more. Rogers Foam material maintains its integrity and effectiveness in interstitial, gasket, and vibration isolation applications. It can meet the requirements of fixing and sealing smooth parts of various parts, and is suitable for non-structural sealing of light and small shape materials, with good waterproof performance.

Rogers 0.10mm Shock Pad foam Features

  • Excellent cushioning performance: it can effectively absorb and disperse the impact force, provide reliable impact protection for precision parts, and prevent the internal components of cell phones, tablet PCs and other devices from being damaged when they are accidentally bumped or dropped.
  • Excellent compression deformation resistance: with good elastic durability, it can still maintain its original shape and performance after long-term use or multiple compression, ensuring long-term shock protection for accessories.
  • Good sealing: it can avoid gas release and atomization, prevent dust, moisture and other harmful substances from entering the equipment, and play the role of sealing protection.
  • Strong temperature adaptability: can be used in the temperature range of - 40 ℃ to 90 ℃, can be adapted to the application of different environmental conditions, whether it is cold outdoor or high temperature working environment can maintain stable performance.
  • Good chemical stability: flame retardant, no harmful substances, no residue, will not contaminate the equipment, not corrosive to metals, can be safely contacted with a variety of materials, suitable for environmental protection and material compatibility requirements of higher occasions.
  • Easy to process: the surface has excellent wettability, easy to bond, and easy to punch, die-cutting and other processing operations, can be made into a variety of shapes and sizes according to different design requirements, which can improve production efficiency and avoid production delays.
  • High design flexibility: engineering polyurethane formulations provide a wide range of modulus to meet more design flexibility requirements, and can adapt to the structure and performance needs of different products.

Rogers 0.10mm Shock Pad foam Application

  1. Electronic equipment field
Cell phone: used between the screen and the body, around the battery, camera module and other parts, can absorb shock, cushion vibration, protect the fragile electronic components, and at the same time play a role in sealing and dustproof.
Tablet PCs: used on the back of the display, under the buttons, at the interface, etc. It can prevent parts from loosening, reduce collision noise, and provide good anti-shock protection.
Laptop computers: can be applied between the keyboard and the motherboard, around the hard disk, display bezel and other parts, effectively cushioning the vibration and impact that may arise from daily use, to protect the computer's internal precision components.
Other electronic devices: such as digital cameras, MP3 players, game consoles, etc., the internal structure of the material can also be used to improve the impact resistance and stability of the product.
  2. Automotive Electronics
Car display: Installed behind the display or at the edge of the frame, it can absorb the vibration and impact of the vehicle driving process, protect the display from damage, and at the same time prevent the screen from loosening or rattling due to vibration.
Car audio system: Used around the speakers and inside the audio host, it can play the role of shock absorption, sound insulation and sealing, improve the sound effect and reduce the noise and resonance.
Sensors and Control Modules: Protect various sensors, control modules and other electronic parts of the car to prevent them from being damaged due to vibration in the process of vehicle driving, and ensure the stable operation of the automotive electronic system.
  3. Other fields
Medical Devices: It can be used for internal buffering and sealing of some precision medical devices, such as portable ultrasound equipment, blood glucose meters, etc. It protects the internal components from vibration and impact to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the equipment.
Aerospace: In aerospace equipment, it is used for the buffering and protection of some parts sensitive to vibration and impact, such as avionics equipment, sensors, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in the complex flight environment.
Precision instruments: For microscopes, telescopes, measuring instruments and other precision instruments, the material can be used for shock absorption and buffering of internal components to improve the stability and accuracy of the instrument and reduce the measurement errors caused by vibration.
